1983年獲華中農(nóng)業(yè)大學(xué)作物遺傳育種專(zhuān)業(yè)碩士學(xué)位,1989年荷蘭瓦赫寧根大學(xué)訪(fǎng)問(wèn)學(xué)者,1990-1994年德國(guó)亞琛大學(xué)分子遺傳研究所博士生,1994年獲德國(guó)亞琛大學(xué)分子生物學(xué)博士學(xué)位;1995-1996年為該所博士后,1997年回國(guó),1998-2002年每年到德國(guó)亞琛大學(xué)分子生物技術(shù)所或英國(guó)約翰英納斯所開(kāi)展合作科研。主要從事麥類(lèi)作物抗赤霉病基因工程、鐮刀菌毒素形成與控制分子機(jī)理、重組抗體分離與表達(dá)分析、植物生物反應(yīng)器等研究,在《Nature Biotechnology》、《Journal of Proteome Research》、《Fungal Genetics and Biology》、《Phytopathology》、《Plant Cell Report》、《Mycological Research》、《遺傳學(xué)報(bào)》等國(guó)內(nèi)外專(zhuān)業(yè)期刊發(fā)表論文80多篇,已被引用700多次;獲省部級(jí)一等獎(jiǎng)1項(xiàng)、三等獎(jiǎng)1項(xiàng),獲授權(quán)專(zhuān)利5項(xiàng),申請(qǐng)專(zhuān)利7項(xiàng),參編專(zhuān)著教材3部?,F(xiàn)為《農(nóng)業(yè)生物技術(shù)學(xué)報(bào)》和《麥類(lèi)作物學(xué)報(bào)》編委,《中國(guó)農(nóng)業(yè)科技導(dǎo)報(bào)》理事,湖北省新世紀(jì)高層次人才人選。在讀研究生30余人,外籍博士生4人。
